The Finance Club of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, marked Central Excise Day with an engaging and insightful session that highlighted the significance of indirect taxation in the Indian economy. The event provided students with a valuable learning experience by combining expert discussions with interactive activities, fostering both knowledge and enthusiasm among participants.

The event featured an informative session led by the Vice President and Assistant Vice President of a reputed financial institution. The session delved into the importance of indirect taxation, particularly focusing on Central Excise Duty and its role in generating revenue for the government, regulating the economy, and controlling inflation. Through this activity, students gained a deeper insight into real-world applications of taxation while participating in a fun and competitive environment.

The event was conducted under the expert guidance of Dr. Anu Sahi (Convenor), who emphasised the importance of Central Excise Duty in economic growth and encouraged students to develop a strong understanding of financial and taxation policies. She highlighted how excise duties help regulate industries and contribute to national development.

He stressed the importance of extracurricular activities in shaping students into well-rounded professionals. Encouraging students to actively participate in such events, he emphasized that financial literacy is crucial for future business leaders and professionals.
