On February 6, 2025, Apeejay School, Noida, hosted a Coffee Morning session for parents of Classes IX-D, IX-E, and IX-F students. The interactive gathering was attended by Principal Dr Neha Sharma, Vice-principal Ms Amrita Hajela, and the class teachers, providing a platform for open discussions on key academic and student development topics. The session began with a brief introduction round, allowing parents, teachers, and administrators to connect in a warm and welcoming environment.
A significant part of the session focused on career counseling opportunities for students. Parents were keen on understanding the school’s initiatives in helping students explore various career paths. Addressing this, Dr Neha Sharma assured parents that career fests would be organised to provide further guidance and exposure to different fields.
Additionally, potential collaborations for academic support were discussed, highlighting the school’s commitment to assisting students beyond the classroom.
Emphasising the importance of yoga and a healthy lifestyle
Recognising the growing pressures on students, the importance of yoga and mindfulness in daily life was discussed. Parents and educators agreed that incorporating yoga into students’ routines could help in reducing stress and improving focus. Another key aspect of the discussion was healthy eating habits. Parents appreciated the school’s efforts to encourage students to make better food choices from the school canteen, promoting overall well-being.
To help students manage their academic workload, parents and teachers exchanged ideas on effective organisation techniques. Suggestions included maintaining to-do lists and structured study schedules to improve time management. These strategies aim to help students develop a sense of responsibility and efficiency in their daily routines.
Adolescence education programmes for students and parents
The session also introduced upcoming adolescent education programmes designed for both students and parents. These programs aim to provide valuable insights into emotional well-being, self-awareness, and responsible decision-making during the teenage years.
Parents expressed gratitude for the school’s proactive approach, acknowledging the teachers’ efforts and the administration’s openness to suggestions. They appreciated the school’s focus on student development, career guidance, and holistic well-being.
The session concluded on a positive and collaborative note, with parents and educators reaffirming their shared goal — to provide students with the best learning experience. The event not only strengthened the school-parent partnership but also underscored the school’s dedication to creating an enriching environment for its students.
