‘My ultimate goal is to transition into Creative Direction’
Student of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar shares how working jobs and internships since her first year has completely transformed her
A high-achieving multimedia student and freelance video editor, Revanshi Gandhi has combined academic excellence with hands-on industry experience during her journey at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. A consistent academic topper and active participant in co-curricular activities, she has developed skills in visual storytelling, design and leadership. With experience in graphic design, video editing and social media management, Revanshi now aspires to pursue Creative Direction.
Why did you choose Apeejay for your education?
Instead of traditional routes like B.Com or BBA, I wanted to pursue a career driven by digital creativity. Web design deeply interested me, and Apeejay is renowned for its exceptional standard in Fine Arts, making it the most obvious and best choice for my B.Design Multimedia degree.
Your achievements in college and how have you grown over the period of time?
Over the past three years, I have maintained the first position in college academics while actively engaging in co-curricular activities. A major highlight was serving as a spokesperson and team leader for the 8th Design Week hosted by our college. Beyond that, I have won second prize in a dance competition and secured multiple podium finishes on Sports Day. My greatest growth, however, comes from balancing work and academics. Working jobs and internships since my first year has completely transformed me. It has made me highly organised, resilient, and deeply self-development oriented. Today, I stand here as a much more confident and optimistic professional ready for the industry.
How has Apeejay and teachers nurtured key skills?
Apeejay College has provided me with a strong platform that has completely transformed me into a more confident, experienced, and knowledgeable individual. The academic environment strikes a perfect balance between theory and practical exposure. Mentors at Apeejay have a unique way of making education interactive and engaging, ensuring that learning is both impactful and enjoyable. I am deeply grateful to the faculty for guiding my potential and shaping who I am today.
What are your future aspirations?
Having gained valuable experience across graphic design, video editing, and social media management, my ultimate goal is to transition into Creative Direction. I have developed a strong foundational understanding of visual storytelling, and I am highly capable of leading a project’s vision from concept to completion. I am eager to secure a breakthrough opportunity in direction, put my leadership skills to the test, and ultimately make my parents and mentors proud of my journey.
