‘My parents selected Apeejay because of education and teaching’

The network of Apeejay alumni is vast with many enjoying comfortable positions in the corporate sector. One such alumnus of Apeejay School, Kharghar is Suteerth Inamdar. He currently works as an Application Developer with Oracle. In this conversation, he shares the learning from Apeejay that has stayed with him. 

What are some of your fondest memories of your time at the school?

One of the best memories was from sports. Being a sports enthusiast, I loved playing Football. I joined the club and remember winning some inter house competitions. The club staff was really good and encouraged us to play well. Even today when I play or watch football, I remember the teachers and what I learned from Apeejay.

What did you enjoy most about being a student here?

I think the best part was education itself. Education at Apeejay was a part of fun learning. It was never something we have to cram and just put on paper. It was about learning and applying. The foundation of the study was good because I was associated with Apeejay. I have seen my other friends and even in school days could understand what Apeejay offered to me.

How would you describe the teachers who taught you and how has their contribution played well in your professional journey ?

My parents selected Apeejay because of education and teaching. The teachers are good, well qualified and well spoken. They used to teach from students’ pace rather than completing the syllabus. Sports being non-academic, the school used to take that too seriously with teachers too qualified in the game, they used to teach us. I think from a teaching perspective, there was no mediocrity. 

Apart from academics, what important lessons did the school teach you?

Even to this date, I play Football. So for me one important thing I learnt was sportsmanship. 

Where are you working now and what is your job role?

I am currently working as an Application Developer with Oracle. It’s been two years since I have been associated with the company. It is based in Bengaluru. It is also my first job. I develop designs, builds, tests, and maintains software programmes and applications for mobile devices, web browsers, or desktop computers to meet user and business needs.
