Hindi Diwas celebrated with creativity, expression and joy
Primary students of Apeejay School, Noida celebrate the richness of Hindi through engaging assemblies, interactive activities and storytelling discussions
Hindi Diwas was celebrated at Apeejay School, Noida with great enthusiasm in the Primary Department, highlighting the beauty, richness and cultural significance of the Hindi language. The celebration brought together language, literature, music and interactive learning, encouraging students to appreciate Hindi as an integral part of their identity and heritage.
The special assembly commenced with a warm welcome address, followed by a soulful Saraswati Vandana seeking blessings for wisdom and knowledge. Students presented a talk on the importance of Hindi, an expressive poetry recitation and a melodious group song. An engaging Hindi Quiz added an interactive element to the programme.
The celebration extended to classrooms through thoughtfully designed activities tailored to different age groups. Balvatika I learners participated in Shabdon ki Tokri, strengthening vocabulary, listening and oral expression by identifying familiar objects. Balvatika 2 students explored letter recognition through Akshar Khojo, developing sound-symbol association and vocabulary.
Class I students engaged in Shabd Jodo-Kahani Banao, creating short stories using word cards and exploring imaginative situations. Grade II learners enjoyed Galat Kya Hai, identifying and correcting amusing sentences while developing comprehension and logical thinking.
Class III students explored Kahani Ki Surgery, creating alternative story endings and strengthening sequencing, inference and creative writing skills.
Class IV learners discovered the versatility of Hindi through Ek Drishya-Teen Bhaashik Roop, presenting the same situation as a general, formal and humorous conversation.
Class V students participated in Hindi Adalat, discussing the relevance of learning Hindi today while developing reasoning, communication, respectful disagreement and critical-thinking skills.
The celebrations provided meaningful opportunities for students to learn Hindi through creativity, interaction and joyful participation, fostering greater confidence, appreciation and pride in the language.
The celebration concluded with an inspiring address by Director-Principal Dr Neha Sharma, who highlighted the role of Hindi in preserving culture and identity through an interesting story of Akbar and Birbal. The programme concluded on a patriotic note with the slogans, Jai Hindi, Jai Bharat.
