Apeejay Svran Global School celebrates World Gratitude Day
Alongside the street play, students took part in dance performances and songs
Recently, Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad, Sector 21 D, marked World Gratitude Day. It is a day when schools come together for a celebration to express something simple but often overlooked. Young learners of the school learnt to instill the feeling of thankfulness to the people who help and care for them every day.
Rather than treating gratitude as an abstract value to be discussed in the classroom, the school built its celebration around performance. This gave students a chance to express thankfulness in ways that were both creative and deeply felt. The highlight of the day was an engaging nukkad natak (street play), performed by the children to convey the spirit of the occasion in a way that’s traditionally used to communicate meaningful social messages directly and memorably.
Alongside the street play, students took part in lively dance performances and melodious songs. Each performance added its own layer to the day’s central theme that is appreciation for the people, big and small, who make a difference in their lives.
