The much-awaited and anticipated Inter-house Art Competition was organised at Apeejay School, Noida for classes I to V. Students saw the event as an opportunity to express themselves creatively and showcase their artistic talent, which brought about an enthusiastic morning with innovation and collaboration.
It started with enthusiastic participation from the four houses of the classes – Gandhi, Nehru, Tagore and RK. The participant students were divided into groups according to age and given one-and-half hours to engage with their allocated themes.
The themes for the competition encouraged age-appropriate creativity: Class I: Creative Jewelery making, class II: Bandhanwar making, class II: Creative wall hanging, class IV: Ganesh with clay modelling, and class V: Rangoli design. Using a wide range of materials such as beads, threads, pistachio shells, paper, and clay, the participants amazed everyone with their innovative designs and skilful execution.

According to Ms Smriti Samuel, the Primary In-charge, the competition was conducted in students’ respective classrooms. “The event began at 9:15 am, with participants eagerly working for an hour-and-a-half to bring their imaginative ideas to life. The competition encouraged students to use diverse materials like beads, threads, wires, paper, pistachio shells, and clay to create their masterpieces.
The results were judged on creativity, innovation, technical skill, and overall presentation. Highlights of the event included intricate clay idols, vibrant wall hangings, and jewelry that reflected the students’ dedication and enthusiasm. The results of the competition were as follows:

The winners
The winners from class I: First: Adrika Yadav (Gandhi House); second: Swara Jain (RK House); third: Atharv Parashar (Nehru House). From class II: First: Shivansh Diwan (Tagore House); second: Kridha Goel (RK House); third: Takshit Arora (Nehru House). The winners from class II were: First: Rajeshwari Singh (Gandhi House); second: Gauri Sachan (Nehru House); third: Ayushmaan Singh Chavan (RK House). The class IV winners were: First: Sanvi Gupta (Nehru House); second: Reyansh Mehra (RK House); third: Ivana Agarwal (Gandhi House). The winners from class V were: First: Samika Priyadarshi (RK House); second: Pramanshi Pal (Gandhi House); third: Saanvi Garg (Nehru House).
Consolation prizes were awarded in each category, highlighting the immense talent across the board.
Rajeshwari sharing her experience said: “Creating the wall hanging was so exciting! I loved experimenting with colours and materials to make something unique.”
Sharing a similar experience, Samika stated: “Designing the rangoli was a challenge, but it felt amazing to bring my imagination to life. Winning first place made it even better!”




Fostering creativity and team spirit
The event underscored Apeejay School’s commitment to nurturing artistic expression and fostering healthy competition among students. “The competition was a resounding success, fostering a spirit of healthy competition while providing students with a platform to express their creativity and artistic flair. The event left both participants and onlookers inspired by the immense talent of the young artists,” Ms Samuel said in conclusion.
