An Inter-house Poster and Literary Competition was organised at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, bringing together students from middle and senior classes to engage with themes that connect personal expression with larger social ideas. The event aimed to encourage thoughtful participation while helping students reflect on issues that shape both community life and global responsibility.
Students from Classes VI to VIII worked on the theme: Celebrating Our Festivals & Celebrating Peace. These topics allowed younger participants to explore harmony within cultural traditions and everyday interactions. For senior students from Classes IX to XII, the focus shifted to Sustainable Development: Growth & Responsibilities, encouraging them to think about growth alongside responsibility.
Expression through art and words
The competition saw active participation, with students presenting posters and written entries that combined imagination with reflection. Their work moved beyond visual appeal, offering insights into how they understand coexistence, environmental challenges, and shared futures. Each entry showed an effort to connect creative thinking with real-world concerns.

The competition created a space where students could move beyond routine classroom tasks and engage with ideas more freely. Instead of working within fixed formats, they had the chance to interpret themes in their own way, using both visual and written expression. Many entries reflected a deeper level of thought, where classroom learning connected with personal observation and everyday experiences.
A step towards thoughtful engagement
The competition highlighted how creative activities can support critical thinking and awareness among students. It also reinforced the role of schools in creating spaces where expression is guided by purpose.

As these young participants continue to explore ideas through such platforms, the focus remains on nurturing not just talent, but also a deeper understanding of the world they are part of.
