Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, GK-II, hosted a meaningful and engaging parenting session centered around the theme “Bloom & Grow: Nurturing Every Milestone.” Open to the wider community, the session brought together parents, educators, and healthcare professionals to reflect on the often-overlooked yet critical aspects of early childhood development; nutrition, sleep, and screen time management.
The session commenced with an insightful address by the School Head, Ms. Komal Nathani, who eloquently unpacked the philosophy behind “Nourish to Flourish.” She emphasised that nourishment extends far beyond food, encompassing emotional security, structured routines, and mindful parenting. Highlighting the interconnected role of balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, and regulated screen exposure, she described these as the three foundational pillars that support a child’s physical growth, cognitive development, and emotional well-being. She also underscored the importance of a strong partnership between school and home, encouraging parents to create nurturing environments where children feel secure, confident, and curious.
The event was further enriched by the presence of esteemed panelists namely Dr. Shiva Khurana, Pediatrician at Max Super Speciality Hospital; Dr. Jateen Ukrani; and Dr. Varsha from The Lifestyle Clinic, who were warmly welcomed and felicitated with mementos in recognition of their expertise and contribution.
Adding a vibrant and heartwarming touch to the morning, the session opened with a delightful classroom showcase featuring a Peekaboo Circle Time and storytelling segment. This interactive glimpse into the Rhythms learning environment allowed parents to experience firsthand the school’s play-based approach, where learning unfolds through joy, music, and meaningful engagement.

The panel discussion that followed proved to be a rich repository of practical knowledge. The experts shared research-backed insights into children’s nutritional needs, the significance of establishing consistent sleep routines, and the challenges of managing screen time in a digitally driven world. Their advice was grounded in everyday realities, offering parents clear, actionable strategies to address common concerns with confidence.
An interactive Q&A session brought the discussion to life, as parents actively engaged with the panel, voicing their questions and sharing their experiences. The panelists responded with thoughtful clarity and empathy, creating an atmosphere of reassurance and mutual learning.
Overall, the session was widely appreciated for its depth, relevance, and practical value. Parents left not only better informed but also empowered with a toolkit of simple yet effective strategies, small, mindful steps that can make a significant difference in shaping healthier, happier, and more balanced childhoods.
