Just like home, school is a place where children experience a sense of belonging and community. Saloni Chopra, whose son Diven is in nursery at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar, shares that the kids build strong bonds with their classmates, teachers, and staff, forming a supportive network that enhances their emotional well-being.
In a conversation, she reflects on the positive impact the school has had on her son.
Why did you choose Rhythms for your little one?
Diven’s cousin, Vidhi, already attends this school, and we love its atmosphere. The large, lush green playground creates a serene environment, especially in the mornings when the children are playing there.
Are any special techniques used by the teachers here?
The teachers are highly proactive and attentive to the children’s needs. They ensure the students’ safety while keeping them engaged in various activities. My son used to have limited communication skills and rarely spoke to anyone, but ever since he started attending this school, I’ve seen consistent improvement in his confidence and interaction every day.

How has Rhythms positively influenced Diven?
In the year that Diven has been attending Rhythms, I’ve noticed a remarkable improvement in his development and personality. He has already learnt to write the alphabet and can now distinguish between various colours with ease.
Any special memory from here which is close to your heart?
Yes, I have a special memory to share. Diven’s pre-nursery class teacher once shared an anecdote that touched my heart. During recess, Diven would always approach her and sweetly ask if she would share her food with him, expressing concern that she might be hungry and tired. His teacher was genuinely overwhelmed by his thoughtfulness, mentioning that no other child had ever shown such politeness and concern at such a young age.
How are the teachers here?
The teachers here are incredibly loving and caring towards every student. My son has learnt the value of sharing and now understands the principle of ‘sharing is caring.’ The progress he’s made has been remarkable, and I’m truly happy to see such positive growth in him.
