Vignettes from Apeejay Stya University’s annual sports day

After the lifting of the lockdown necessitated by the Covid-19 pandemic, the day had finally arrived in  Apeejay Stya University for everybody to converge at one place and enjoy the Sports Day on  December 29, 2021. 

The spirit of sportsmanship and competition had every participant and the audience excited.  Sports such as badminton (for girls and boys), cricket and table tennis were played on the day.

The air in ASU was filled with thrill and joy as it was an eagerly anticipated moment for faculty members as well as students. All members of the university were enthusiastic about participating in each of these activities. Whether it was professors or students, everybody was ready to take part in the contests.  

It was a healthy competition among everybody. Vice Chancellor Professor Raj S Dhankar and Deputy Registrar Dr Varuna Tyagi were present on the occasion to cheer for the participants. 

“Winning is not everything but making the effort to win is, ” Deputy Registrar and Dean of Academics Dr. Varuna Tyagi, said before felicitating the winners with medals and blessings. 

Vice Chancellor Dhankar added, “I was very excited about this event as I could meet all students after two years.” He, however, struck a note of caution and said and ensured that all the Covid protocols were followed by everyone present.
