Body language is a range of nonverbal signals that you can use to communicate your feelings and intentions. These include your posture, facial expressions, and hand gestures. Your ability to understand and interpret other people’s body language can help you pick up on unspoken issues or feelings.

Keeping this in mind, I have read another book named ‘ The Definitive Book of Body Language by Allan + Barbara Pease  ‘        ‘

I enjoyed reading this book because I was able to imagine where I could use techniques mentioned in the book in real life.

Many examples were also illustrated in this book. For example, If someone tends to look downward and put their chin down when they walk, this can make people think that he or she is a closed person and submissive in some sense.

I read this book to understand how some people are more observant than others. Also, if you have had to deal with people from all walks of life, throughout your years, you will learn more about body language, than if you sat indoors mostly watching TV or being on the internet.

An authoritative guide on secrets revealed by a person’s body language. Helps make positive and fruitful changes in the way one reacts to specific situations, based not only on what is heard but also what is seen – by reading body language accurately.

With easily identifiable examples of famous personalities in public and personal situations.

This Book Of Body Language is a book that contains detailed and invaluable information about body language. The book has been written by the best in the business and is presented in a very entertaining manner.

It is common knowledge (and scientifically proven) that non-verbal gestures play a much more important role in social interaction than verbal ones do. But very few people know how to interpret these non-verbal signs.

Through this book, the authors seek to help readers use their knowledge of body language to confidently hold their own in any situation.

The authors state that very often, what people say is quite different from what they think or what they feel. This makes conversations frequently confusing to decipher.

To counter these disparities in thoughts and words and understand what is being said, the secrets of body language revealed in this book can prove to be extremely useful. It provides techniques to learn how to read between the lines and interpret non-verbal cues correctly.

The book stresses over the fact that human behavior must be observed in clusters, i.e. gestures must be interpreted in relation to one another and not in a standalone manner.

Some of the useful scenarios explored in the book include creating a positive impression on people, presenting a pleasing, approachable personality, conducting successful negotiations and interviews, getting people to cooperate, and even figuring out if someone is available.

In this book, there are 8 of the most common lying gestures:

Through the techniques outlined in this book, readers can also learn to recognise power plays, love signs, and deception. Interesting concepts like microexpressions, mirroring, arm positioning, and eye signals are also discussed.
