Incorporating fitness and creative activities into school routines is essential for holistic student development. Engaging in yoga, sports, and dance not only enhances physical health but also boosts mental well-being, creativity, and confidence. For the same, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri recently introduced a fitness and creativity programme to enhance the well-being of students and staff. This initiative includes daily morning prayers, followed by yoga, sports, and dance sessions, aimed at fostering a holistic educational experience.

The sessions, held from 8 am to 9:30 am, provide students an opportunity to improve physical fitness, mental focus, and creative expression before resuming their academic schedules. Yoga classes help with flexibility and relaxation, sports activities encourage endurance and teamwork, and dance sessions enhance coordination and confidence.

Dr Vineet Vasishtha, Principal of the school, emphasised the significance of balancing academics with physical and mental well-being. Addressing students, he highlighted the importance of these activities in shaping well-rounded individuals prepared for future challenges. He also commended the active participation of both staff and students, reaffirming the school’s commitment to providing such enriching experiences.

“I am pleased to see our students and staff participating enthusiastically in the yoga, sports, and dance activities launched after the final term exams. These initiatives are a step towards promoting overall well-being, fostering creativity, and enhancing physical fitness. I encourage everyone to make the most of these programs, as they play a crucial role in shaping both the mind and body. Let’s continue to work towards building a healthy and positive school environment,” Dr Vasishtha said.
