The CBSE Class X Result 2026, announced on April 15, recorded a strong showing, with more than 24 lakh students taking the exam. The overall pass percentage reached 93.70 percent, indicating solid academic performance nationwide. Girls continued to lead, maintaining a consistent trend, with a pass percentage of 94.99 percent, while boys recorded 92.69 percent.
Beyond these figures lie personal journeys shaped by steady effort, focus, and determination. Meet two such students from Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri: Meet Nancy (95.6%) and Sejal (95.6%), who made their parents and school proud.
Nancy, who scored a centum in Math was overjoyed and honestly a bit relieved with her result. “I knew I had put in the effort and that my exams had gone well, but seeing 95 percent still came as a wonderful surprise. My main strategy was consistency over intensity. I focused on NCERT textbooks to build a strong foundation, and then I moved on to solving previous years’ question papers to understand the exam pattern,” the Class XI student who has chosen Commerce said.
Her teachers played a very important role in her scores. They made the concepts clear, helped her resolve all doubts, and constantly encouraged her to practise competency based questions.
Her advise her juniors is simple. “Solve at least five or six sample papers. It really helps in building confidence and prepares you well for competency based questions,” the Chartered Accountant aspirant shared.
Looking back, Sejal says, consistency made the biggest difference. “In the beginning, my strategy was to complete the syllabus quickly so that I could dedicate more time to revision. In the last two months, I focused almost entirely on practising previous year’s question papers. I followed NCERT closely and also referred to a few additional books. I did face some problems in Mathematics, but with the help of my teachers, I was able to improve,” the Class XI student who has taken up Commerce shared.
The teachers’ support helped her to stay consistent. “Guiding me on how to write answers effectively was a boon. Their encouragement kept me motivated. Since it was my first Board exam, there was some stress, but my parents never pressured me about marks. Before each exam, I relied on short notes and revised them a day prior to stay confident and clear,” this Company Secretary aspirant said in conclusion.
