Students celebrate the guiding role of teachers

Teachers play a lasting role in shaping the thoughts, values and character of children. Recognising this contribution, students of Classes I to V at Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad, presented a special assembly to mark Teachers’ Day.

The programme brought together prayer, music, poetry, dance and reflection. Each presentation conveyed the students’ affection and gratitude for the teachers who guide them through their formative years.

A celebration through meaningful performances

The assembly began with a soulful invocation, followed by a graceful Guru Vandana. Students also shared inspiring thoughts and poems that highlighted the importance of teachers in their lives.

A melodious Western song was presented as a musical tribute. The yoga-integrated dance added another thoughtful element to the programme. Through coordinated movements and expression, the young performers communicated their respect for their mentors.

The Principal read the Teachers’ Day message from Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education. The message extended warm wishes to teachers on the occasion and acknowledged their contribution to the lives of students.

The Principal also spoke about the significance of Teachers’ Day. She engaged the children in an enriching interaction centred on the life, values and enduring legacy of Dr S Radhakrishnan.

Her address drew attention to the deeper responsibility carried by educators. Teachers do more than support academic learning. They also help children grow into responsible, compassionate and value-driven individuals.

Gratitude remains at the heart of the assembly

An inspirational movie, the Word of the Day and a special Gratitude Segment added further meaning to the celebration. These activities encouraged students to reflect on the many ways in which teachers influence their lives.

The assembly offered the children an opportunity to express feelings that often remain unspoken. It also helped them understand that respect and gratitude are values best demonstrated through thoughtful words and sincere actions.
