‘We are never worried about our daughter’s safety at school’

Dr Jyoti Arya, MD in Pediatrician, is a proud parent of Aditri Arya, a Class 10 student at Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad. In an interview, Dr. Arya says she is very happy with her daughter’s progress. Read edited excerpts:

Were you aware about Apeejay before enrolling Aditri in the school?

Yes. My husband, Dr. Surender Arya, MD in Physician helped me with it. For us, this was quite a crucial decision. So, we did a lot of research and took some feedback from our friends and family. We also discussed our concern with Aditri’s playschool teachers and they suggested Apeejay. Now, both my daughters study at Apeejay, and we are very happy with their performance and growth.

Tell us what you think about the way teachers conduct classes?

We think that teachers make classes interactive for students as they conduct sessions in an organised and friendly manner. They focus on practical studying rather than just rote learning, which helps in a better understanding of the topics. They even clear complicated concepts through activities that help them understand topics in an easy way.

Have you noticed any particular improvement in your child?

Earlier, my daughter was very shy but now we can see her freely communicate with all her classmates and teachers. Her teacher told us about how she actively participates in all
co-curricular activities. She has started gaining confidence and all thanks to her teachers. Aditri has also participated in the Olympiads which has helped her learn a lot. Overall, she has shown a lot of progress.

How well does the school ensure children’s safety and security?

We are never worried about children’s safety at school as teachers and management staff are always there during the time of dispersal.

How is school helping kids with board exams?

The school teachers have completed the syllabus and have given students plenty of time for revision. Teachers are ready to help students every time. They even make children solve sample papers during school hours and solve their queries immediately.

Are you working? If yes, then how Apeejay is helping working parents?

We are never worried about Aditri’s studies. She learns concepts from school and does
self-study. She is very independent and we just guide her at every moment.
