Celebrating festivals like Diwali in schools plays a vital role in nurturing cultural understanding and bonding among young learners, parents, and educators. Such events encourage children to experience the joy of tradition, build community connections, and gain a sense of shared heritage, values, and festivities.

Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar, recently hosted a vibrant Dazzling Diwali event, bringing together students, parents, and teachers for a day full of festive joy and celebration. The gathering was graced by Dr. Sucharita Sharma, Director of Apeejay Education Society Advisor to Rajeshwari Sangeet Academy Trust, along with special guests Ms. Megha Bhatia, owner of Wonder Kids, and Ms. Sana Munjral.

The day began with a traditional Diwali pooja, filling the venue with positive energy and devotion, followed by enthusiastic performances by the students. Ms. Priyanka Grover, Officiating Principal, warmly addressed the audience, setting a welcoming tone for the celebrations. Adding a spark to the event, renowned RJ Garry engaged the crowd with fun games that delighted both children and parents, creating heartwarming moments of laughter and bonding.

Mr. Rajat, Trainer at Generation Iron Gym, then took the stage, leading an energetic dance session that saw both children and their mothers letting loose and dancing with joy. The dance floor was alive with festive cheer, highlighting the spirit of Diwali and togetherness.

“This is the fourth year we’re celebrating Dazzling Diwali at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar. Our goal is to foster a strong bond between families and the school community. Families eagerly anticipate this event, often asking about it as soon as the month begins. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to connect with their culture and traditions, which is essential in today’s world. Hosting Diwali at school brings a sense of joy and prosperity to the entire school community” says Ms Nidhi Ghai, Incharge Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar.

A variety of stalls added to the event’s charm. Art and craft stalls allowed children to showcase their creativity, while jewelry booths and a VLCC wellness stall offered a Diwali sparkle and beauty tips for everyone.

The celebration was also marked by the special presence of Ms. Priyanka Grover, Principal of the School, Ms. Nidhi Ghai, School incharge and Headmistress Ms. Namrata Sharma, and dedicated teachers, who left no stone unturned to make the celebration a resounding success thereby, marking a day of joy, culture, and connection.
