DEEKSHARAMBH 2026–27 Marks a Meaningful Beginning for Apeejay Stya University’s New Batch

Apeejay Stya University (ASU) organised its New Students’ Orientation Programme 2026–27, “DEEKSHARAMBH,” at the University campus. Designed to warmly welcome the new batch, the four-day programme familiarised students with ASU’s academic environment, institutional values, support systems, career opportunities and co-curricular avenues, setting the stage for a meaningful university journey.

The programme commenced with the registration and welcoming of new students. The inaugural ceremony began with a warm welcome to the new batch, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting by the Vice Chancellor, Registrar and Deans. A soulful Saraswati Vandana set a traditional and auspicious tone for the proceedings.

The ceremony also introduced students to the legacy of Founder Chairman, Late Dr. Stya Paul Ji, along with the Chancellor,  Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education,   Dr. Neha Berlia, Lead – Education Vertical, Apeejay Education, and Pro-Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University; and Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Vir Singh. Short films showcasing the University’s legacy and leadership further enriched the inaugural session.

Addressing the newly admitted students, Hon’ble Pro Chancellor Dr. Neha Berlia delivered an inspiring message, encouraging them to approach their university years with purpose and ambition. This was followed by the Welcome Address by Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Vir Singh, who formally welcomed the students and highlighted the significance of beginning their academic journey at ASU. Engaging musical and dance performances added vibrancy to the ceremony, which concluded with the Vote of Thanks by the Registrar and the National Anthem.

The subsequent sessions addressed crucial aspects of student life, including student well-being, resilience, stress management, career development, anti-ragging awareness, civil services opportunities and academic orientation.

Eminent speakers enriched the programme with their insights. Dr. Jagveer Rawat, National Convener, Bharat Innovation Research and Development Cooperative Forum (BIRD), conducted a session on “Achieving Excellence in Career and Life: The Gen Z Roadmap.” He discussed the opportunities and challenges before Gen Z and encouraged students to pursue their academic and professional journeys with clarity, purpose and a growth-oriented mindset.

Mr. Vinod Wadhawan, Retired Director, Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, addressed students on “Career in Civil Services: Opportunities & Examination Preparation Strategy.” His session offered valuable guidance on civil services careers, systematic preparation, commitment and informed career planning. Students also interacted with the Deans and Heads of various Schools and gained insights into the Liberal Arts component of ASU’s academic framework.

The final day introduced students to Library Resources, Training and Placement, distinguished alumni interactions, the academic and examination system, Moodle, ERP and online course registration. The programme concluded with an orientation to ASU’s clubs, societies and sports, encouraging students to actively engage with campus life.

Overall, DEEKSHARAMBH 2026–27 provided new students with a comprehensive understanding of ASU’s academic framework, leadership, support systems, career opportunities and vibrant campus culture, marking a positive and purposeful beginning to their journey at Apeejay Stya University.
