This Class IX student at Apeejay School, Kharghar, is curious and enjoys learning new things. Reading is her favourite hobby because it improves her knowledge, vocabulary and imagination. She also enjoys participating in school activities like classical music and classical dance. Meet Sadhya Hota. In a candid interview, she talks about how she got the Maharashtra Scholarship for her academic excellence, among other things.
How did you feel when you received the scholarship?
I felt extremely happy and proud when I received the scholarship. I was grateful to my parents and teachers for their constant support. This recognition has motivated me to work harder and continue performing well in my studies.
What helped you achieve this success?
Regular study, consistency and proper revision played an important part in my success. I focus on understanding concepts clearly instead of simply memorising them. The guidance and encouragement I received from my parents and teachers also helped me greatly.
Which study habits have been most useful to you?
Following a proper study schedule has helped me the most. I revise the lessons taught in school, complete my work on time and devote extra attention to topics that I find difficult. I also try to avoid distractions while studying so that I can use my time well.
How have your parents supported you?
They have always encouraged me to study sincerely and motivated me whenever I faced difficulties. They also helped me manage my time and created a positive environment at home where I could focus on my studies. I am deeply grateful for their constant support.
What challenges did you face, and how did you overcome them?
One of my main challenges was managing my time. Balancing school, homework, revision and other activities was sometimes difficult. I gradually learned to plan my day, set priorities and use my time more effectively. This experience has made me more organised and disciplined.
How will this scholarship help you fulfil your future goals?
This scholarship will support my education. More importantly, it has given me greater confidence and encouraged me to continue working hard. I have not decided on a career yet. At this stage, I want to explore different subjects and interests before choosing a path that is right for me.
What advice would you give to other students?
I would advise other students to study regularly and manage their time properly. We should not be afraid of making mistakes or facing difficulties because such experiences help us learn and improve. I believe we should trust ourselves, listen to our teachers and parents, and remain consistent in our efforts. Small efforts made every day can lead to great achievements.
