The annual day, called ‘Taabir-The Interpretation of Dreams’, began by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Among the other dignitaries present on the occasion were Mr Girish Kumar, principal, Apeejay School Mahavir Marg, and Ms Sangeeta Nistandra, principal, Apeejay School, Rama Mandi.

In an inspiring address, Mr Saroya advised parents to become role models for their children who will eventually follow in their footsteps. He stressed the importance of hard work to achieve one’s goals. And while chasing dreams, one should make sure to take time out of their busy schedules to do their bit for society. And for this, one needs to master time management, something parents must inculcate in their children too, he added.

Mr Berlia, on the other hand, urged students to reflect on the hard work and sacrifices made by their parents to meet their needs. “All that we do is with gratitude. Take a moment to thank your family for being there with you and supporting you through the life to come,” he said.

Mr Berlia went on to highlight Apeejay’s strife for attaining global standards of education in the pursuit of man-making and nation-building. “When we talk about scholars, studies show that all the character-building happens until class VIII. After that, we are trying to fix what has been done before. This school is undergoing rapid expansion and we are doubling down on our curriculum initiatives. In fact, our curriculum has been benchmarked with the top schools and school systems across the world. We have been asked to help schools by looking at their curriculum, and our teachers helping their teachers. This is a testament to all the hard work that students, staff, and teachers have put in.”

While thanking parents for their support and long-standing faith in Apeejay, he advised students to treat education as their “best friend”. “It will continue to add value, love, success, enlightenment, and support. It will stick with you no matter what happens. You have to love, respect, and nurture this best friend.”

Apeejay believes in value-based education, which is vouched for by the over 65,000 alumni who constitute an integral part of the Apeejay family, Mr Berlia mentioned. “When they share their success stories, they say their fundamental mantra has been the values and character they learnt while in Apeejay.

Dr Stya Paul, Apeejay’s founder chairman, credited the entire Apeejay community for building the educational institution that it is today. Apeejay Education has always been about man-making and national-building which comes from each generation contributing selflessly and with purpose, by creating wonderful institutions.”
