This school creates an engaging and stimulating learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning in my children. They leverage technology, hands-on activities, and real-world experiences to enhance teaching and learning,” shares Barkha Chandra whose son Aakarsh studies in class XI at Apeejay School, Nerul.

Excerpts from the interview

What is your son’s aspiration and ambition?

Aakarsh has taken PCB in his class XI. He aspires to become a lawyer and will appear in CLAT soon. The reason he has taken Science in his senior elementary level is because we want to keep other avenues open for him as well.

Is there ever any pressure regarding studies at home?

He is a very sincere child and believes in studying continuously throughout the academic year. He doesn’t like taking pressure at the last moment for exams. He also has a habit of reading newspapers, books, so that he keeps himself in the momentum and doesn’t lose out on the habit.

How has school positively influenced your child?

There is a great impact on my child’s growth and personality over these years. My son has been groomed holistically at this school. Not only in academics but my son has outshined himself in many extracurricular activities like comparing and debating at many events here.

How are the teachers here?

All the staff members across different elementary levels are superb and professional. They do provide the required stimulus in my child to enhance and boost up learning. Moreover, they are amazing guides to my son.

What is your parenting style?

I believe in keeping a tab on my children. Discipline and following a good healthy routine is another crucial habit I want my children to inculcate and strictly adhere to. This is the age of social media and children most often digress from their goals and studies, so it becomes important to put them back into perspective.

Do you believe in the adage – that school is the second home for a child?

It is definitely true in every sense. School is a place which affects how well a child gets groomed and what sort of character he/she builds up. A child’s lifelong learning is strongly dominated by a school environment.

Why did you select Apeejay for your child?

Right from the beginning Apeejay has sincerely been into academics and they give a lot of importance to outstanding pedagogical structure. The strong legacy and exemplary reputation were both the winning points for putting my children into this school.
