The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has initiated the application process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2024 exam, which commenced on April 16 and will continue until May 6. The application portal, available on the official website natboard.edu.in, is now live for aspiring candidates. Notably, the NEET PG exam date has been brought forward to June 23 from the previously scheduled date of July 7, 2024, prompting concerns and protests among some candidates.

To register for NEET PG 2024, candidates need to follow a series of steps outlined by
the NBEMS. First, they must visit the official NBEMS website and navigate to the NEET-
PG 2024 link on the homepage.

Upon clicking, a redirected page will facilitate registration. Subsequently, applicants are
required to complete the application form with accurate details, followed by making the
necessary payment. Finally, they must download the confirmation page for future
reference.

Eligibility criteria for NEET PG 2024 mandate that candidates must possess an MBBS
degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate from a university affiliated with the Medical
Council of India (MCI).

Additionally, medical graduates should hold a permanent or provisional registration
certificate issued either by MCI or the State Medical Council (SMC) and must have
completed a 12-month rotatory internship by August 15, 2024.

The NBEMS has also revised the exam fee, reducing it by Rs 750 for candidates of
all categories. The revised fee stands at Rs 3,500 for General and OBC candidates, and
Rs 2,500 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.

The NEET PG exam comprises 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each correct
answer carrying 4 marks and one mark being deducted for every incorrect response.

Following the revised schedule, NEET PG 2024 results will be announced on July 15,
2024, with the counseling process scheduled to commence on August 5 and conclude
on October 15, 2024. The new academic session is slated to begin on September 16,
with the last date for joining set for October 21, 2024.
