Apeejay School, Rama Mandi celebrates Baisakhi with enthusiasm

Students immerse in festive spirit with energetic celebrations

Apeejay School, Rama Mandi in Jalandhar recently celebrated Baisakhi with great enthusiasm. To celebrate the occasion, the school had organised a special assembly that was held with the blessings of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University and under the guidance of Principal Mr. A. K. Sharma.

Students were enlightened about the historical and religious significance of the harvest festival through a variety of activities, including speeches, poems, and an informative video. 

The morning assembly commenced with the melodious echoes of Shabad Gayan, filling the atmosphere with a sense of spirituality and reverence. This was followed by an inspirational thought for the day, encouraging students to think about the deeper meanings and values associated with Baisakhi – a spring harvest celebration. Through these activities, the school not only aimed to educate students about the festival but also instilled a sense of cultural appreciation and understanding.

The celebration reached its climax with an energetic bhangra performance by the students, showcasing their talent and enthusiasm for the festival. The lively performance left everyone spellbound thereby adding the festive atmosphere of the occasion.

Further, Vice Principal Mrs. Aarti Shorey Bhat addressed the gathering, extending wishes for a happy Baisakhi to all. She emphasised the importance of the day in everyone’s life and also highlighted its significance in fostering unity and celebrating cultural diversity. 

The event served as a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education, aiming not only to impart knowledge but also to instill a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and traditions among its students.
