Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg has introduced RAP (Remedial Action Plan) and TAP (Topper Action Plan) classes, marking a new approach to personalised education. These innovative initiatives are designed to cater to the diverse learning needs of students, ensuring that each individual receives the support required to thrive academically.

Principal Ms. Sangeeta Nistandra, who spearheaded these programmes, emphasised the importance of addressing the unique needs of each student. She remarked, “In a classroom of 40 children, it’s crucial to recognise that not everyone is at the same intellectual level. Our goal is to support all learners, accommodating their different learning styles and paces.”

The RAP, or Remedial Action Plan, is crafted to provide additional support for students who may need extra help. Ms. Nistandra explained, “RAP includes concept-building classes, additional worksheets, and personalised notes. These sessions, held after regular classes, are designed for students who might need more time to grasp certain concepts or develop their skills.” By focusing on individual challenges, RAP helps students gain confidence and keep pace with their peers, promoting a more inclusive learning environment.

On the other hand, the TAP, or Topper Action Plan, is tailored for students who excel and often finish their assignments ahead of the class. “For these students, we offer advanced worksheets with high-order thinking skills questions,” Ms. Nistandra noted. This approach ensures that top-performing students remain engaged and are well-prepared for future academic challenges, including competitive exams such as NEET and JEE.

The effectiveness of RAP and TAP is reflected in the positive academic outcomes at the school. “Last year, less than 0.1% of our students scored below 50%,” Ms. Nistandra proudly shared. This statistic highlights the success of these programmes in enhancing student performance and confidence. The individualised attention provided through RAP and TAP addresses a range of learning needs, from improving handwriting and vocabulary to mastering complex academic concepts.

Ms. Nistandra’s dedication to educational equity is evident: “Every child has the right to education and support, regardless of their current performance level. We strive to help each student improve upon their personal benchmarks.” The RAP and TAP programmes are a testament to this commitment, offering targeted assistance that benefits students and their families without additional costs.

With the RAP and TAP programmes, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg is setting a new standard in education, ensuring that every student has the resources and support they need to succeed and grow.
