Ms Marjorie Castillo is Spanish. She is a graduate in Business Management from PUCE, Ecuador. Her husband, Mr. Rahul Handa, holds a degree in Management from the University of Delhi. He is currently the Senior Vice President (Strategic Initiatives) at ONDC. While shortlisting a pre-school for their daughter, Amaya, the couple chanced upon Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld in Greater Kailash – II. Surely, there was no going back once they visited the school. What went into the selection process? Let’s hear it from Ms Castillo. Read on, edited excerpts from the interview.

Please tell us about your daughter.

Amaya is 2 years and 6 months old. We enrolled her to Kids@Play for the session 2022-23. This was in October 2022. It has been a few months since. She is learning to speak English and Spanish as well as picking up more and more words each day. Apart from this, she loves to play in the evenings with her elder brother. She is a loving, energetic and inquisitive child.

Why did you choose Apeejay, Rhythms for her?

Prior to her admission in the school, I had visited it for my son. But then, something else worked out for him. When it was Amaya’s time, I finally chose Rhythms due to the teachers, facilities and environment. It was simply great! I was sure that Amaya would be in safe hands. Further, she would get the personal attention she needs. I have noted that the classes in the school are very inter-personal. All the teachers make a child feel part of the group.

Tell us more about the developmental changes in Amaya.

I can see that now she is more social. She enjoys her classes in the school and her communication skills have improved a lot. She can speak English and is happy singing, rehearsing her rhymes.

Are you satisfied with the school?

Yes, I am happy. The school leaves no stone unturned in everything they do.

Apeejay, Rhythms is soon to commemorate its Annual Appreciation Day. Is Amaya participating in it?

Yes. She is performing a dance with her classmates. She has been practicing for it for more than a month. She seems quite excited about it!

Would you recommend the school to others? Your message?

Yes. All the teachers work very hard. They are well-equipped to handle children and make them learn. A parent can be tension-free and not think twice before trusting the school with his/her child.
