Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, commenced its much-awaited Talent Carnival 2025 with immense zeal, bringing the campus alive with energy, creativity, and youthful vibrancy. The first day of this annual extravaganza was dedicated to a series of non-stage competitions, offering a perfect platform for first-year students from across all departments to display their artistic brilliance, intellectual flair, and imaginative expressions.
The diverse events included on-the-spot painting, photography, clay modelling, rangoli, declamation, and poetry recitation. Each competition highlighted the students’ originality and innovation, reflecting the remarkable potential of young entrants. The vibrant rangoli patterns, expressive recitations, and imaginative artworks truly set the tone for the celebrations ahead, making the opening day memorable.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressed her delight at the enthusiastic participation of students. She emphasised, “Talent Carnival is not just a platform for showcasing talent but also for discovering the hidden potential of our students. It is heartening to see our young entrants participate with such confidence and creativity. These activities not only polish their skills but also nurture in them qualities of expression, teamwork, and discipline that will help them grow in every walk of life.” Her words of encouragement inspired the participants to continue showcasing their abilities with passion throughout the festival.

The campus was filled with joy and a competitive spirit as students wholeheartedly engaged in their respective competitions. The event also saw the involvement of a distinguished panel of judges who brought credibility and expertise to the evaluations. For the singing competition, the panel included Dr. Amita Mishra, Dr. Vivek Verma, and Dr. Sumit Singh. The instrumental music competition was judged by Dr. Amita Mishra, Dr. Vivek Verma, Dr. Sumit Singh, and Ms. Sweety Sidana. Dance enthusiasts were evaluated by Dr. Santosh Vyas, Ms. Sweety, and Mr. Willy Sidana, while Mr. Kranti Pal and Mr. Amandeep Singh judged the theatre events. Competitions in Literary, Fine Arts, and Home Science were adjudicated by the college’s expert faculty members, ensuring fair and insightful assessments.
Adding to the day’s charm was the dynamic anchoring by Ms. Anuradha, Ms. Chetna, and Ms. Paridhi Tuli, who kept the audience engaged and the sessions lively with their confident stage presence.

Dr. Dhingra also appreciated the tireless efforts of the conveners and cultural coordinators—Dr. Arun Mishra, Dr. Amita Mishra, Dr. Monica Anand, and Dr. Payal Arora—whose dedication ensured the smooth execution of the event.
The successful inauguration of Talent Carnival 2025 has set an inspiring precedent for the days to come, promising a celebration of talent, creativity, and youthful enthusiasm at ACFA.
