In Indian astrology, Jupiter, a major planet symbolises the Guru or the master. It is mentioned that without the help of the ‘Guru’, one finds it very difficult to progress in life. Similar is the case in real life as well. Without a good teacher, a student finds it hard to gain wisdom and achieve success. It is therefore very important that not only do we learn from our teachers but also honour as well as respect them for their service.
In line with this value, students of Apeejay School of Management (ASM) celebrated Teacher’s Day and thanked all the teachers for their indelible imprint in the lives of each student. The celebrations commenced with the lighting of the lamp which was followed by marvelous singing and stunning dance performances. Through short skits, students expressed their love and respect towards the faculty members.
Leena Raheja, student of 2021-23 batch said, “Teacher’s day celebration event was quite mesmerising. It had a wide array of events. Director ma’am’s address was so heart-warming and the way in which the students expressed their respect for all the faculty members was so special. It was a day full of fun, entertainment and happiness.”
Another student, Kajal Kumari mentioned, “The purest bond that comes after the parent-child connection, is the teacher-student bond. Guru’s blessing is the power that enables the students and helps them lead a wonderful life.”
The celebration concluded with the cake cutting ceremony. Every teacher took home some beautiful memories from the day and appreciated the efforts of the students.
Sharing a heartfelt message with the students after the Teacher’s Day celebrations, Dr. Alka Munjal, Director at ASM said, “ASM is a place where all students feel at home and completely safe. Every student is gifted and I want every student to understand and use the gifts they have been given by nature. I always tell them to work with sincerity, dedication, and honesty. They must follow their heart and that will help them succeed in life. I love you all unconditionally and when you become senior/global managers or CEOs, remember to be happy and grateful.”
