Creativity and teamwork brighten the Inter-house competition
Young artists of Apeejay School, Tanda Road, bring ideas to life through board decoration
Creativity found a colourful canvas at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, during the Inter-House Board Decoration Competition. The event brought students together to transform bulletin boards through ideas, artistic expression and careful planning.
Participants from Aravali, Nilgiri, Shivalik and Vindhya Houses took part in the competition. Each team worked on its assigned theme and designed a board that reflected its understanding and creative approach. The activity gave students an opportunity to combine individual talent with collective effort.
Ideas beyond decoration
The competition was not limited to making the boards visually appealing. Students also presented their ideas before the judges. They explained the thought behind their work and responded to questions with confidence and enthusiasm.
This part of the event allowed the participants to demonstrate their communication and critical-thinking skills. It also encouraged them to understand their themes closely instead of treating decoration as an isolated art activity.
Working as a team was equally important. Every board represented the combined effort of the participating students. They had to share ideas, divide responsibilities and bring different creative choices together within a single display.
Houses secure top positions
Aravali House secured the first position for its presentation and board decoration. Shivalik House and Nilgiri House jointly claimed the second position, while Vindhya House finished third.
The results recognised the effort and artistic talent displayed by all four Houses. They also reflected the close competition among the participating teams.
The event helped students explore creativity in a structured and meaningful manner. It strengthened their ability to communicate an idea visually as well as explain it clearly before others.
By presenting their work and answering the judges’ questions, the students also gained experience in thinking on their feet. The Inter-House Board Decoration Competition ultimately became a learning exercise in creativity, confidence, communication, collaboration and critical thinking.
