
The Information Technology Club at Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) recently organised a quiz competition on ‘International Safer Internet Day’. The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students of B.Tech, BCA, and MCA.
During the competition, the participants’ euphoria was completely out of bounds and they showcased their knowledge by answering myriads of questions related to cyber crime, cyber securities and digital information threats.
Rachitesh Sharma from BCA bagged the first position, whereas Tanvi Parmar from B. Tech (CSE- AI-ML) won the second prize. Simultaneously, Isha, a student pursuing BCA, stood third in the competition.
On participating, Rachitesh Sharma said, “It is really a great experience to participate in such activities and at the same time, we could test our skill set also in the domain of cyber security.”

“The activity was wonderfully organised. We were excited to answer the questions and test our skills in different areas such as cyberspace, cyber threat and so on,” said Tanavi Parmar.
Another student Isha mentioned, “Such activities motivate us to learn new things and enhance our knowledge. Just by participating in activities we come to know our lacking area.”
The faculty coordinators of the event were Rohit Verma and Daljeet Singh Matharu, Assistant Professors from School of Information Technology. Student coordinators were Raavi Chauhan, Pathania and Anurag Sharda, who assisted the faculties to conduct the event successfully.
Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director at AIMETC congratulated the winners and motivated the students to participate in similar extra-curricular activities for their overall grooming and enhancement in the domain of technical skills.
