Extra-curricular activities play a huge role in a student’s development. Such activities allow students to develop the essential social skills that help them get through work-life and ensure they can face any challenges that might block the road to success. Among such activities, MUN is the most popular name in the academic circuit. The academic simulation of the United Nations proceedings gives students a platform to practice not only public dealing but also diplomatic relations.

As is the case, Apeejay School Noida students are adept in every field with MUN being no exception. They recently participated in the Arcane Model United Nations organised by Apeejay School, Saket  and won laurels in various categories. While Class 9 and 8 students Divam Maheshwari  and Aratrika Dixit respectively got a special mention each, the senior secondary students also dazzled the conference with their skill. Class 12 student Khannak Vij got a high commendation while class 11 student Anahita Dasgupta got a verbal mention.

Speaking about his achievement Khannak  said, “I feel really proud of myself. Winning this award was a very good feeling! I was initially unwilling to join the MUN committee but Dipastha ma’am saw the light in me and encouraged me to go ahead. This experience has instilled confidence in me and helped me voice my opinion with intelligence and self-belief.”

Excited and eager to win more in the upcoming MUN conferences, Anahita Dasgupta mentioned, “This is only my second MUN, so I feel I have achieved something but  I also feel I could have done better.  So, in a way I am happy that now I will have more confidence for the future.”
