Tell us about your achievements in karate.
I participated in the 6th International Karate Championship held in Amritsar recently. Before this, I also participated in individual Kata and Kumite tournaments where I won Silver and Gold respectively. I have participated in the category of 10-year-olds.

Share your training regime.
I go to karate training class on alternate days in the evening from 6 – 7 pm. Apart from that I practice kata at home rigorously before every championship.
How did Apeejay School support your journey?
Apeejay School teachers have always provided me with moral support and academic assistance, helping me catch up on lessons I missed due to outstation matches.
How has karate changed your life personally?
Karate has made me more confident and active in life. It has given me a sense of security and prepared me to face any challenge with resilience.
Any special diet you follow.
I don’t follow a strict diet, but I try to eat a high-protein diet as much as possible, including chicken, fish, and sometimes eggs.
Would you like to take up karate professionally in future?
Yes! I am preparing for my final belt, the Black Belt, which is planned for the end of this month. I plan to participate in the SGFI games next year. Since karate has been included in the Olympics, I will give my best effort in the future.

Who is your inspiration and guru?
Bruce Lee is my true inspiration, along with Vidyut Jamwal from India. The latter is not only exceptional in martial arts but also a great actor. Although I’m not allowed to watch many movies, I watched The Karate Kid in my early years, which deeply inspired me. My current guru is Sensei Kapil.
