Teacher’s Day at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, turned into a vibrant celebration of learning, creativity and gratitude. The Pre-Primary wing hosted a joyful Story Session for the little ones, creating an atmosphere filled with laughter, curiosity and warmth.
The day began with an interactive storytelling activity where teachers narrated an engaging tale using lively props, expressions and enactments. This not only captured the attention of the tiny tots but also sparked their imagination. The session was followed by a question round that encouraged children to think, respond and participate actively. Such activities are essential in developing listening skills, language abilities and confidence among early learners.
Adding to the cheer, the little learners recited short poems under the guidance of their teachers. The recitations were filled with innocence and joy, highlighting the role of creative expression in a child’s overall growth. The teachers ensured that the activities struck a perfect balance between fun and learning.
On this special occasion, educators also extended warm wishes to all mothers, acknowledging them as the first Guru of every child. This message beautifully reinforced the idea that learning begins at home, with mothers playing a vital role in shaping values, habits and early knowledge. By recognising this bond, the school highlighted the importance of collaboration between home and school in nurturing young minds.
The celebration served as a reminder that education is not limited to classrooms and textbooks. Simple activities like storytelling and recitation can become powerful tools to instill values, encourage curiosity and foster creativity in children. Events like these also underline the essence of Teacher’s Day — honouring the tireless efforts of educators while reminding students of the joy of learning.
The programme concluded on a note of gratitude and happiness, leaving behind cherished memories for the children, teachers and parents alike.
