The difference in academic outcomes often lies in how students manage their daily learning. Staying consistent, asking questions, and keeping a calm perspective during exams can quietly influence results. These choices tend to support steady and meaningful progress. The experiences shared by three students of Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg: Krishiv, Vivaan Gupta, and Reyansh Dheer (academic year 2025-26), who reflect how small but consistent habits, combined with the right support system, can shape both confidence and performance during exams.
During his final exams, the biggest support for Krishiv was his teachers. Whenever he had any doubt, he could simply call them, and they would help him. Their constant support gave him confidence and kept him motivated.
“I had set a clear goal for myself to achieve a good percentage, so I switched off my phone for almost the entire month to avoid distractions. I also chose a quiet room at home where I could study with focus. I followed a timetable that helped me manage both studies and activities. I made sure to play sports in the evening and get proper sleep so I would not feel tired while studying. More than marks, my aim was simply to give my best and feel satisfied with my effort,” the now Class VIII student shared.
Vivaan’s final exam preparation was based on consistency and regular practice. He studied daily, made short notes for important topics, revised regularly, and practised questions repeatedly. This routine helped him stay confident during exams and made concepts easier to remember.
“Mathematics was the most difficult subject, but I managed it by solving problems every day and asking my teachers whenever I had doubts. Their guidance really helped me improve. The school also played a big role in supporting me throughout the exam period. Our teachers took extra classes, arranged doubt-clearing sessions, and kept motivating us whenever we felt stressed or tired. Their encouragement helped me stay focused and disciplined. I believe one of the most important things during exams is to trust yourself and stay regular with revision. I also feel students should never hesitate to ask teachers for help,” he advised.
There were many times during exam preparation when Reyansh didn’t feel like studying. So, he took short breaks and started again with an easy topic. Once he got back into the flow, studying felt much easier.
“During exams, I tried to manage my time calmly by first reading all the questions carefully and deciding which ones to attempt first. I usually started with the questions I knew well because it boosted my confidence and saved time. Revision also played a very important role in my success. Instead of studying only before exams, I revised regularly, made short notes, and practised sample papers. Apart from studies, playing chess helped me improve my concentration, patience, and decision-making skills,” this now Class VIII student said in conclusion.
