Some students set high academic benchmarks for themselves early on, displaying discipline, consistency, and a thirst for knowledge. Their commitment to excellence earns them impressive scores and lays a strong foundation for continued success in the years ahead. Meet three such students from Class VI-B (session 2024-25) – Aryaman Singh, Ryan Kumar, and Maulik Adhlakha of Apeejay School, Noida, who have proved that regular studies are the key to success.

Aryaman, while thrilled with his result of 97%, feels that he could have done better and will strive for a higher percentage for the next academic year. Sharing his study strategy, he said, “I made a timetable and revised regularly. I studied for about one or two hours daily. For instance, when a teacher introduced a chapter, I would revise it if I found it difficult. I also revised other chapters and subjects regularly,” shared the Class VII student, who found Math to be challenging at times.

“Whenever I had a doubt, I would ask my teachers. They were always very helpful and cleared my doubts. They always told us that we could come and ask them anything — we shouldn’t hesitate. The teachers are there to help you,” he added.

Ryan, who scored 96.12%, is satisfied with his result.  He had a unique way to study strategy. He would pretend that he was teaching a class. “When I do this, I am teaching myself. That helps me learn comprehensive solutions. I also study regularly. I try to get ahead of the course. For instance, if the class is doing Chapter I in English, I’m already on Chapter II,” shared the Class VII student, who finds French a bit challenging.

No one in my family knows French, so in case of doubts, I turn to the teacher. And not just French, all the subject teachers are supportive and solve doubts in simple language, especially our Science teacher; she taught us ahead of the course, so we could be prepared for upcoming classes,” Ryan said.

Maulik, who scored 95% excluding French, shared that he studied throughout the year to keep his concepts clear. “During exam time, I focused more on revision for every subject and also took some time to play. It was not about the number of hours, but about keeping my concepts clear. Generally, I studied for one to two hours every day, he shared, adding that his teachers greatly assisted him.

“The teachers shared worksheets and explained everything well in class. And in case there are doubts, it is important to get them cleared, even if others laugh,” the Class VII student said.
