Shankhnaad: A resonant call to celebrate nature and excellence

The much-awaited Annual Appreciation Day of Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, unfolded as an enchanting evening that celebrated talent, values, and environmental consciousness. Centred around the evocative theme Shankhnaad, the event paid a powerful tribute to the protection and harmony of the five life-sustaining elements — Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether.  

The Chief Guest was, Dr Munish Nagpal, District Commissioner of Charkhi Dadri; the Guest of Honour was Mr Kuldeep Phogat, Ex-District Education Officer; and the Special Guest was Mr Deepak Gahlawat, Manager, Haryana Gramin Bank. The occasion was also graced by other dignitaries. Together their presence added distinction to the celebration.

The evening commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising the triumph of knowledge and enlightenment. This was followed by a vibrant welcome dance, which set an energetic and joyous tone for the programme. The young performers from nursery, LKG, and UKG stole hearts with their innocent charm and lively expressions, filling the atmosphere with delight and applause.

As the programme progressed, students from Classes I and II captivated the audience through colourful and expressive performances. Each presentation thoughtfully depicted the essence and importance of the five elements, reinforcing the message of environmental balance and sustainability in a creative and engaging manner.

The highlight of the evening was the musical extravaganza Shankhnaad, a compelling narrative woven through dance, music, and drama. The performance showcased how each element plays a crucial role in maintaining nature’s equilibrium. It was a testament to teamwork, creativity, and meticulous planning, with students and teachers coming together to bring the vision to life.

The event also featured a prize distribution ceremony, honouring students for their academic excellence, co-curricular achievements, and overalldevelopment. The moment stood as a reflection of the school’s commitment to nurturing confident, well-rounded individuals.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Nagpal commended the school for promoting holistic education while underscoring the need for environmental preservation. The annual report, presented by the school Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha, highlighted the school’s milestones and accomplishments over the past year. He also shared ‘”Through Shankhnaad, the students beautifully expressed the importance of the elements that sustain life. The school not only celebrated academic excellence but the unity and dedication of the school community. Let us continue to learn beyond textbooks and live in harmony with nature. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this celebration memorable,” he said.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the singing of the National Anthem, leaving the audience with a sense of unity, pride, and renewed responsibility towards nature.
