The secret of a successful life and career is to identify a purpose which is a combination of passion, mission, vocation and profession. This is how students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts are working hard to achieve their goals.

Bringing yet another laurel to the institution, four students have received gold medals from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar for their extraordinary academic performance. The proud achievers to achieve top positions in the University examination are Parminder Singh (B. Voc. Sound Technology), Garinder Singh (B. Voc – E- Commerce & Digital Marketing), Vibhuti Sharma (B. Voc. – Contemporary Forms of Dance) and Yashika ( M. Voc. Theatre & Television).

Extremely delighted to have bagged a gold medal, Parminder Singh mentioned, “In the last three years, I learned more about technicalities of sound, technical sound terms, what is the process involved in making a good music. Before enrolling in this course, I had zero idea about this whole field even though I was always passionate about music since childhood. I learned about live and recorded sound, techniques of working with sounds, production and also gained hands-on training with recording studio equipment like microphones and multi-track recorders.”  The 30-year-old is currently working on freelance music production projects.

Another achiever, Garinder Singh who completed his B.Voc in E-Commerce and Digital Marketing from ACFA is passionate about going abroad for further education. He said, “Different types of practical training further drove my interest in this trending subject. With rising demand for e-commerce, digital marketing has become the need of the hour. I am grateful to all my teachers for their relentless support and thus, I am here today.”

Vibhuti Sharma, who walked on the same path like her mother in Apeejay said, “I guess exploring the field of arts has always been in my blood. My mother danced through the same Apeejay corridors during her time and participated in youth festivals vividly!  I feel I walked on the similar path but with a new touch to it through B.Voc Contemporary Forms of Dance course that focuses on modern dance forms. But I wouldn’t have succeeded without the constant guidance and support from my mentor, Dr. Micky Verma, who has been my knight in shining armour throughout the course of my degree. She didn’t even let Covid come into the way of embarking her knowledge and wisdom on us.”

As honored as Vibhuti feels accepting this accolade, she is already working on the next phase of her life as she is ready to rejoin Apeejay for Master’s programme.

“I congratulate our proud achievers and wish them luck for their future endeavours. This achievement is the result of their consistent hard work as well as dedication, and they should keep walking on this road of success to achieve more and more goals in future. ACFA will continue adding to their holistic development to enable them to succeed in competitive global industry.”
