NEET PG 2026 Provisional Answer Key Likely Today: Steps to Download Response Sheet
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is likely to make the NEET PG 2026 provisional answer key and candidates’ response sheets available today. However, the examination authority has not yet issued an official confirmation regarding the release date.
The NEET PG 2026 examination saw participation from approximately 2.66 lakh medical aspirants. The examination was originally scheduled for 2,65,980 candidates and was conducted across 1,111 examination centres in 338 cities. According to the available figures, 2,63,535 candidates appeared for the examination.
A total of 2,445 candidates in Jaipur are required to appear for the examination again. The re-examination was necessitated after the test was disrupted at two centres in the Sitapura area because of an internal power failure.
Meanwhile, the NBEMS has scheduled the declaration of the NEET PG 2026 result by September 30. Candidates awaiting the provisional answer key will be able to use it, along with their response sheets, to review the answers they recorded and estimate their probable scores.
How to Access the NEET PG 2026 Answer Key
Once NBEMS activates the relevant link, candidates can access the provisional answer key and response sheet by following these steps:
- Visit the official NBEMS website, natboard.edu.in.
- Navigate to the NEET PG 2026 section.
- Select the application link available under the examination tab.
- Click on the Login option.
- Enter the required login credentials.
- Select the link for the answer key and provisional response sheet.
- Review the question IDs, official answers and responses recorded during the examination.
- Download and save the documents for future reference.
NEET PG 2026 Marking Pattern
The NEET PG 2026 question paper comprised 180 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 720 marks. Candidates receive four marks for every correct response, while one mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. Questions left unanswered do not attract either positive or negative marks.
The provisional answer key will allow candidates to assess their performance ahead of the result announcement and, where applicable, review the answers provided by the examination authority.
