The amphitheatre at Apeejay Institute of Design (AID), New Delhi, became a vibrant celebration of Bollywood glamour, creativity and youthful exuberance, as seniors hosted Fresher Party 2026 to welcome the institute’s newest students.
Themed “Bollywood Glam 2026,” the event featured dazzling performances,
lively competition and moments of togetherness, setting an enthusiastic tone for the freshers’ journey ahead.
The celebrations opened with an energetic welcome dance by the seniors, setting the stage for an afternoon filled with music and excitement. The freshers soon took over, presenting lively and creative performances that reflected their confidence, individuality and enthusiasm. Each act added to the festive atmosphere, turning the amphitheatre into a lively space for self-expression and celebration.
The much-awaited Fresher Competition emerged as the event’s centrepiece, with participants progressing through three rounds: the Introduction Round, Prob Round and Final Round. The competition offered students an opportunity to showcase their personalities, creativity, confidence and individual style. AID alumni Mr. Amogh Mathur and Ms. Anshika Anand judged the contest, establishing a meaningful connection between the institute’s alumni and its newest generation. Their encouragement and appreciation boosted the participants’ confidence and the audience’s excitement.

The titles recognised talent, personality and popularity. Mohd. Yunus Alvi was named Mr. Apeejay Institute of Design, while Pradnya Mayur Chandorkar won the title of Ms. Apeejay Institute of Design. Ritik Verma and Rishita Phogaat received the Mr. and Ms. Best Dressed titles, respectively. The Mr. and Ms. Talented titles went to Sneha Suman and Sneha Choudhary, while Aaryan Dagar and Aishani Roy were named Mr. and Ms. Popular. Lavanya Verma received the Judge’s Choice Award. The Popular titles were selected by the seniors, making the recognition especially meaningful as a reflection of the bonds already forming between the two groups.
Adding a memorable surprise, the judges themselves took to the stage for a special performance. Mr. Mathur and Ms. Anand captivated the audience, drawing cheers and adding an unexpected burst of entertainment to the celebration.

The seniors also presented each fresher with a personalised mug featuring their photograph—a thoughtful keepsake commemorating their first celebration at AID. Food and refreshments arranged for the freshers further strengthened the spirit of warmth and hospitality. With the titles presented by the seniors, the occasion remained rooted in togetherness rather than competition alone.
Organised by the Cultural Club, with Ms. Anjali Taneja and Ms. Divya Virmani coordinating the celebrations, Fresher Party 2026 offered students a chance to connect beyond the classroom, build friendships and create shared memories. More than a Bollywood-themed party, it marked the beginning of a new chapter filled with learning, creativity and possibilities—an unforgettable first celebration for the newest members of the AID family.
