Apeejay School, Nerul, bid class XII students a fond farewell in a beautiful and thoughtful cultural programme. Teachers and other school staff extended heartfelt wishes to the boys and girls, who were decked in their best outfits to attend the event.

The event began late in the afternoon with a soulful prayer and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp to mark the beginning of an auspicious occasion. A ‘tilak’ ceremony was organised by the teachers for the class XII students who were presented with mementos as a token of appreciation.

The series of cultural performances commenced with a ‘Mr and Ms Apeejay” pageant for the outgoing students; the participants impressed the audience with their creative answers. They also participated in fun competitions like “Rolling Chapatis”, “Blow and Burst the Balloon”, and “Walking on a Twister” and a final speech before clinching the coveted titles.

Following this, the students of class XI took the stage for stunning dance performances that left everyone grooving to their moves.

A formal cake-cutting ceremony elevated the mood of the celebration. Meanwhile, the school music band belted out captivating numbers while the teachers sang a melodious song. Together, they were successful in creating a memorable experience and a fitting goodbye for the class XII students.

P Subhash, principal, Apeejay School, Nerul, wished the students good luck. He motivated them to continue their journey of learning throughout their lives.

Dhanush Shetty and Nadaa Ahamed were announced “Mr and Ms Apeejay” and were awarded sashes. The names of the new understudy Head Girl and Head Boy, from class XI, were also announced on the occasion. Amidst the loud cheers, the former Head Girl and Head Boy handed over the school flag to the newly appointed leaders and also shared a heartfelt speech before departing the stage.

The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks and a serving of refreshments.

“An educational system is worth a great deal if it teaches young minds how to make a life rather than just making a living.”
