At Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri dreams truly take flight with the right guidance and support. Meet Crispy Dhanetia, a spirited 15-year-old and Class 10 student, whose passion for archery has propelled her to remarkable heights. Starting as a curious beginner just nine months ago, Crispy has already clinched the top spot in a national tournament. Her inspiring journey is a testament to dedication, hard work, and the encouragement she receives from her school. We spoke to her about her journey, ambitions, and the role Apeejay School plays in nurturing her success. Read edited excerpts:
How did you discover your passion for archery?
It all started with curiosity! My father encouraged me to explore sports, so we visited an archery academy. I found the sport fascinating, and as I began practicing in April 2024, I realised it was more than just an interest—it was my passion.

What keeps you motivated during this rigorous schedule?
I believe in the saying, “The more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war.” My teachers, especially Biology, English, Social Science, Science, Computer Science, Physics and Sports Teacher and my parents always motivate me to keep pushing myself. I stay focused on my efforts rather than worrying about the results.
What was it like to win your first gold medal in archery?

It was an unforgettable moment! During the medal ceremony, I felt confident because I had performed well. Hearing my name announced for the first position made me feel proud and calm.
How has Apeejay School supported your journey?
Apeejay School is like my second family. The school provides regular sports periods and co-curricular activities that help me stay fit and develop my personality. The teachers and Principal Sir have always guided me, making it easier to balance academics and sports.
What’s your ultimate goal?
I want to become the best archer in the world and leave a legacy. My dream is to win world championships and make my school, teachers, and family proud.
