Edited excerpts from the interview
What are you doing professionally now?
I am currently doing freelance project of a retail design and planning at Chandigarh for upcoming retail store chain for kids.

What does a typical day look like?
Since I am at present, based out of my home town Kullu, the day typically starts with a walk by the river around 6 am. I am handling my dad’s business as well, so have to reach office by 10 am. Post lunch I usually do my freelance project work. In the evening I take a walk and spend time with my family.
Tell us about your college life.
In ACFA, Jalandhar I got the best of teachers around which really helped me through my career of Communication Design and Applied Arts.
Share a few nostalgic memories from Apeejay?
The group of friends and the staff I met at Apeejay was the best part of my journey. Brainstorming sessions and discussions were a few things that I enjoyed extensively. I remember when I was leaving ACFA, my friends announced a big farewell for me at Radio which made me really happy.
How were the teachers at Apeejay?
The life I am living right now I owe it to my teachers. Even after leaving the college, they were in touch and helped me in areas of my professional journey further.
What is your goal?
I wish to encourage more kids especially in Himachal Pradesh to be aware about different career opportunities. Being an Apeejayite, I would really encourage everyone to be a part of this institute.

Any message for the students of the school.
Do what feels right always. Don’t get into peer pressure and choose your own identity.
Your advice for future entrepreneurs.
I read somewhere, ‘Keep challenging yourself and never fear to move out from your comfort zone. The best way to predict future is to create it.”
How did Apeejay help you hone your skills?
The balance of curriculum and the best of staff who are trained in their respective fields having fine knowledge, really helped me in my professional growth.
