Joginder Gautam, senior analyst, Mercer Consulting Private Ltd, was a student himself when he first visited Apeejay School, Saket. Now a father, he enrolled his daughter Etasha in the same school in nursery. In an interview, he shares how the teachers at school are promoting her daughter’s overall development. Excerpts:

What made you pick Apeejay School, Saket, for your daughter?

I visited the school once as a child. Since then, I have known about the high educational standards at Apeejay. A few years back, my niece was also enrolled at Apeejay School, Saket. Looking at her progress, I realised the school will be very good for my daughter as well. The school is good in academics and sports, which were my criteria while choosing a school for Etasha.

Did the admission process go smoothly?

My daughter’s name was on the top of the lottery list. So, we got a call from the school for admission. I had a very positive interaction with the management — they heard me out and treated me very well. The fee structure was also manageable for me. So, I went ahead and initiated the enrollment process.

What kind of developments have you seen in Etasha since the time she joined school?

My daughter is freely interacting with all her classmates and teachers. Her teacher told us about how she actively participates in all co-curricular activities. She also participated in the annual day programme held by Apeejay Saket recently. In class tests, she scored excellent marks too! Overall, Etasha has shown a lot of progress.

Is Etasha understanding concepts in class?

The teachers are very supportive and interactive. They explain concepts patiently. After returning home, Etasha tells me all about the new ideas or topics she has learnt in class.

Apeejay believes in the overall development of children. Is Etasha also learning moral values and etiquette?

From washing hands before any meal to keeping the environment clean, she is learning it all. The school is also doing its best to inculcate good moral values in my child.

Do teachers interact with you regularly?

The teachers not only share every update about the developments in class but are also available to address our concerns as parents. They have been very helpful. I am very happy with the school.
