Karnataka becomes first state to issue order on implementation of NEP 2020

Karnataka has become the first state in the country to order the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP). “With this Karnataka has become the first state in the nation to issue the order with regard to implementation of NEP-2020”, said Higher Education Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan. NEP 2020 completed its first anniversary on July 29, 2021. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on this day about National Education Policy 2020. He mentioned that NEP 2020 is one of the most important key contributors to nation-building. This is the first education policy of the 21st century and replaces the thirty-four year old National Policy on Education (NPE), 1986.
