Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg once again proved its academic mettle as three of its brightest – Garrisht Bhargava, Shivaansh Sharma and Harshit – secured stellar percentiles in the JEE Main 2025. With percentiles of 97.75, 96.08 and 95.90 respectively, these young achievers share their journeys of inspiration, discipline and balance.
Garrisht Bhargava:
“I’ve always been drawn to discovery and research,” says Garrisht on his lifelong passion for engineering. His routine varied over two years of preparation, but he consistently aimed for an early start. “I’d wake around 7–8 AM, juggle schoolwork and coaching assignments and still get to bed by 10 PM,” he recalls. As exams approached, Garrisht admits his schedule became irregular due to nerves, but a simple return to morning wake‑ups restored his focus and energy.
To unwind, Garrisht turned to music. “I didn’t play games much, but listening to music helped me relax and even fall asleep when I felt overwhelmed.” His goal‑setting approach was straightforward: each morning, he listed tasks on an A4 sheet and ticked them off by night. Looking ahead, he is torn between Computer Science and Electronics & Communications but remains open to where his curiosity leads him.
Shivaansh Sharma:
“Cars fascinated me ever since I was in Class 2,” confesses Shivaansh, recalling how his love for mechanics steered him toward engineering. Early years at Apeejay saw him winning intra‑house robotics competitions, laying the groundwork for a scientific mindset. A strong performance in his Class X board exams convinced him to enrol in a dedicated JEE coaching programme, where he honed both conceptual clarity and problem‑solving speed.
During Class XI, Shivaansh’s day began at 8 AM and stretched into the early hours, with 2–3 hours of study after returning from coaching at 2:30 PM and wrapping up around midnight. “In Class XII, I shifted to a 6 AM start, tackling mathematics first,” he explains. After the JEE Main Session 1 result, he doubled down on previous‑year papers and focused on strengthening weaker areas, especially physics and chemistry.
Harshit:
“I was interested in Maths and Physics from the very beginning,” Harshit shares, crediting early parental support from Class 9 for nurturing his enthusiasm. His parents’ guidance and encouragement deepened his passion, firming his resolve to pursue the JEE path.
Harshit emphasises the power of clear goals and mock tests. “I set short‑term targets each morning to stay motivated and attempted 5–6 mocks monthly. These tests sharpened my speed and highlighted areas needing focus – early low scores were the best teachers.”
Looking ahead, he’s drawn to Computer Science. “Coding excites me far more than mechanics,” he says. His advice to juniors: “Build strong fundamentals in Class 11, craft concise notes and embrace mock tests early—hard work at the start makes the journey smoother.”
