Jalandhar school entrusts new student council with duties at investiture ceremony

Apeejay School Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, also awarded class toppers on the occasion

Apeejay School Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, recently held the investiture ceremony to officially appoint school leaders for the current academic session and entrust them with specific roles and responsibilities.

The special event commenced by invoking the blessings of the Almighty followed by Saraswati Vandana. The choir of Apeejay Rama Mandi then sang their school anthem, headed by music teacher Ms Nidhi Sharma.

The school’s newly elected student council was accorded a formal welcome by Ms Gurpreet Kaur. After the formal pinning of badges, the school flag, along with the house flags were hoisted in the Flag ceremony.

Ms Sangeeta Nistandra, the school principal, administered the oath to the new student council.

A “scholar badge” ceremony was also held on the auspicious occasion where toppers of class VII to XI for the session 2021-22 were recognised for their hard work. The session was ably conducted by Ms Nishu Airy. Meanwhile, class representatives received badges from their respective class teachers.

The U-14 Football team, which won the third prize in a zonal tournament, along with physical training instructor Mr Nirmaljit Singh. was also honoured at the event.

The Masters of the Ceremony were school vice principal Ms Aarti Shorey Bhat and academic coordinator Ms Anand Mahon.
