Mr. Bharat Tandon is a businessman, dealing in the field of pipe fittings and sanitation. His daughter Priyanshi is a class 7 student at Apeejay School, Tanda Road.
In a brief interview, Mr. Tandon declares
Why did you choose Apeejay School, Tanda Road over other schools for Priyanshi’s admission?
Well, the school is near our home. The infrastructure of the school is simply excellent and so is the school curriculum. It is all absolutely congruent with the great reviews we had heard about the school. The environment of the school is great and the classes are not overpopulated. A student can easily have a one to one discussion with the teacher. And likewise there is more focus on the development of each and every child.
Please tell us a bit about Priyanshi and take us through her progress at school?
Priyanshi has been studying in this school since Nursery. She has always had a keen interest in dancing, singing, painting, basically in almost every co-curricular activity in the school. She loves to participate in all these activities. She is very good in studies as well. Be it an English poem recitation activity or Hindi poem recitation or even Punjabi, she is very active in all three languages.
Are the teachers engaging well with the students?
The teachers are teaching very well. On the last Saturday of every month, there is a parent teacher meeting at the school. We always get a very good response about Priyanshi’s progress at the school. In case we are facing any problem, we freely discuss it with the teachers and they help us. Till now, it has been almost ten years and I have never had any problem with the school. It has been a fantastic journey.
How has Priyanshi adjusted to the offline school routine after two years of online classes?
Initially, it was very difficult for the students since online classes were a totally new concept. But the kids gradually adjusted to it. Though at one point in time, Priyanshi just wanted to go to the school and resume with her offline classes. There were no outdoor activities in the online classes obviously. She was also missing meeting her teachers and friends. All the competitions were happening in the online mode as well. But she was missing the physical presence.
It has been a good learning experience. The students learned to adjust to the various circumstances of life. Priyanshi adjusted very well then and has also adjusted well to the offline classes now.
What is the best thing about the school?
The school infrastructure, the method of education and the teachers are all the best aspects of the school. I have met Principal sir and coordinator ma’am several times. They are both very nice. There is total transparency and a spirit of cooperation with students and parents alike. It is all very nice.
