What does your typical day look like?

My day starts early and once I reach the office I get heavily busy with back to back meetings. I usually get back home by 8 pm and then I indulge in my most favourite thing – my music.

What do you do professionally?

I am an entrepreneur and run my company which is into setting up auto LPG dispensing stations pan India networks and franchisee outlets. I have also authored several publications and articles and travel extensively to present papers on Indian LPG scenarios at places like Miami, Warsaw, London, Washington DC, Hong Kong amongst others.

How has Apeejay influenced you in life?

Apeejay has given me a rounded growth which is very important. I have seen that students who are honed in their overall personality are ultimately able to outshine in later years of life. Now success is not only about academics, it’s more about EQ. And this school has taught me an ethical approach to nurture myself.

How were the teachers here?

An institute might be made using bricks and mortar but what puts life into it is the culture by the management of the school. The teachers here have always managed to pass on the beautiful culture to their students’ batch after batch. And when that culture is imbibed by the students it helps them to shape their life in a better way.

What is your takeaway from this school?

This school has left an indelible mark on my soul in all its great glory. Having said so, I am still deeply involved in all activities that the school organises from time to time. I head the school alumnus group too and it’s been 40-plus years of connection with Apeejay now.

What is your opinion on the brain drain trend?

In my opinion this trend is inversely proportional to the infrastructure and opportunities available in the country. The cases of brain drain have come out significantly, since it’s highly dependent on the perspective of an individual who would like to go and work for the Silicon Valley and similar ideas. To conclude, India is now certainly providing an ecosystem that has enabled individuals to explore better opportunities within the country.
