Director at KAE Engineers Private Limited, Mr. Krishna Kumar, enrolled his son Garvit Krishnan at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Greater Kailash-II last year. For Mr. Kumar, it was imperative to put Garvit in a suitable pre-school that offers one-on-one interaction and regular feedback. Why? Because his son showcased signs of speech delay. And so, Mr. Kumar began to search up some institutions online. To his delight, he soon came across a boutique-concept pre-school which offers an ideal environment for safe, buoyant and stimulated learning. And then, he didn’t feel the need to look any further. He soon made up his mind and discussed it with his wife, Ms. Shrithy Krishna Kumar. Read on, as he shares more in an interview.

Did you know about Apeejay prior to Garvit’s enrollment?

Apeejay is a celebrated brand in education. But I wasn’t aware about its pre-school situated in Greater Kailash-II. It was a welcome surprise for me to find that the school was so conveniently located from my residence. Soon, I visited it and met the teachers. I informed them that my son had a bit of a speech delay and they guided me accordingly. It has been 2-3 months post that, I have noticed that Garvit is doing much better. I can see visible development in him.

When did you identify the speech delay?

It was the peak of the pandemic and he was about 2.5 years old at that time. Nonetheless, we went for some speech and occupational therapy too. We tried many places and kept at it till he was 4. We were often advised that once Garvit begins to go to a school, he will begin to communicate efficiently.

Please share some developmental milestones of your son.

Since his association with Apeejay, Rhythms, he has begun to take interest in several activities. He likes to express his thoughts. Earlier, he also did not want to go to school, which over time has become a lot better. He loves his teachers and looks forward to learning from them.

Tell us about your last visit to the school.

I went to pick up my son before the winter vacation commenced at school. At that time, I met his class teacher and she informed me about his progress. I was happy to hear what he is doing in the classes.

Your message to parents?

Many parents are facing the issue of corona-induced disruptions in their child’s studies. These can be identified with some developmental lags or hyperactivity. Therefore, I would say they must be mindful of the institution they are picking for their child. It is crucial now, more than emver.
