Inner joy comes from giving and helping others. To encourage pre-primary children indulge with and explore their talents and abilities, Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld School, Greater Kailash – II, hosted an inter-school competition, themed, ‘Joy of Giving.’ The event received a warm response from more than 60 student participants from pan-India.

The competition included an array of activities for kids such as canvas painting, singing carols, telling stories and sharing their family picture etc. The school introduced different categories for each competition to cater to the talents of each participant. Dr. Kavish, a parent and hair transplant surgeon says, “My son Kiansh who is studying at Rhythms learnt a lot of things at the event. He was asked to create a drawing and he enjoyed doing so thoroughly. Such competitions encourage children to innovate, imagine and create new things.”

“Every child poured their heart and soul into their performance and I wish to congratulate all parents and students for their efforts,” says Ms. Komal Nathani, Headmistress, Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld School.

At the end of the competition, children were rewarded with an interactive story-telling session at the school. The tiny tots and their parents cherished the event and took home a bagful of joy, some gifts and good memories.

“I am special, I am unique, and I am incomparable!

We at Rhythms believe that every child is unique, special and a winner in their own right. The efforts of all children must be appreciated and therefore, post the competition, all participants were awarded a complimentary story session with music, movement and fun. I can’t forget the happiness on their faces as their hard work made the session joyous. Their parents were very proud of them as well. At the closing of the session, all the children had one question to ask, ‘When would you call us next?’ ”
