Mrs. Supriti Sinha is a homemaker and her husband, Rakesh Kumar Sinha, is an Income Tax Inspector. They are proud parents of Swastik Sinha, enrolled in class 2 and Saanchi Sinha enrolled in class 6 at Apeejay School, Kharghar. In a brief interview, Mrs. Sinha shares her overall experience with the school. Edited excerpts:

What made you think Apeejay School, Kharghar, would be the right choice for your son?

When we shifted to Kharghar, we heard a lot about Apeejay from our friends and neighbours. We decided to enroll our children in a reputed school. We didn’t have a second thought. Apeejay was an obvious choice.

Tell us what you think about the way teachers conduct classes during lockdown.

Teachers at Apeejay School, Kharghar conducted the classes online during lockdown. There was a lot of panic everywhere, but I never felt that the studies of my kids were affected. Teachers made a lot of efforts to make students learn and develop. In fact, I was very excited every day to sit with both Swastik and Saanchi during their online classes.

Teachers made sure to give students a feeling of a physical classroom during the virtual classes. They were taught through PPTs, and were given project works as well as assignments for the practice. Students were enthusiastically involved in various activities. That time we realised we made the best decision to enroll our children at Apeejay.

Do you personally interact with the faculty on a regular basis?

Yes, definitely. In fact, I never miss any Parents Teacher Meetings (PTM). Teachers are very humble and pay attention to each child and share their input with us on a regular basis.

How is school helping to enhance the speaking skills of your daughter?

I make sure that Swastik actively participates in Hindi, English as well as Marathi recitation in school. He is very confident and never hesitates to speak in front of anyone. The teachers guide the students about modulation, phonetics, etc., which ultimately helps them to enhance their speaking skills.

What would you like to say about the safety of students at Apeejay?

Teachers are very precise when it comes to discipline and the safety of the children. We are tension free and our children are safe even at the time of dispersal.

Your message to fellow parents?

I strongly recommend Apeejay not because my children study in this school but because I am really impressed with the performance and discipline of the School.
